A. The health of our residents is of prime importance to us at Foundation House at Northgate. Our professional meal planning ensures a balanced diet, with the ability to accommodate some special needs. Our trained staff also conducts a daily exercise class which is open to all residents. With a long list of events and activities, you'll have plenty of opportunities to stay active.
A. Absolutely! Independent Living residents have 24-hour access and are encouraged to enjoy their freedom. Have a terrific time!
A. We're in the middle of a peaceful, residential neighborhood, with police and fire departments only blocks away. Our buildings are secured after hours, open to residents by keyed entry. We have staff on hand 24 hours a day for security and emergencies.
A. That depends on the apartment size you select and whether you need assistance with activities of daily living. Contact us to schedule a tour to find a floor plan that suits your needs and your budget, and to see if Foundation House is the right fit for you.
A. You bet! Some of our residents have known each other since childhood, but most are new friends. With a great mix of events and activities, you'll meet your neighbors, fit right in and and feel at home in no time.
A. Medicare is a health insurance program for people age 65 or older, or people under age 65 with certain disabilities. It does not cover retirement living expenses such as housing or meals. Medicaid is a health coverage program for low-income individuals and families. Again, it does not cover the cost of daily living expenses. If you have special medical needs, please contact us for more information.
A. Depending on the nature of your insurance, some expenses, such as for our assisted living services, may be covered under your policy. You will need to consult with your insurance company. We would be happy to discuss your needs with your agent and to help you in any way we can.
A. Our assisted living residents require minimal medical care, sometimes recuperating from an illness or injury, sometimes just in need of assistance with daily tasks, personal care and medication. A nursing home or nursing care facility may care for those in need of more continuous monitoring or longer-term care. For serious illnesses, memory care, or Alzheimer's care, we can recommend other facilities.
A. No, we regret that it will not be possible to accommodate pets.
A. No, Foundation House is a smoke-free facility for both residents and staff.
